Centre for Nanosciences and Nanotechnology [C2N] Centre for Nanosciences and Nanotechnology [C2N]
The Centre for Nanosciences and Nanotechnology (C2N) is a joint research unit between the CNRS and Université Paris-Saclay located in Palaiseau (France). It was founded on the 1st June 2016 by merging two former laboratories, the Laboratoire de Photonique et de Nanostructures (LPN) and the Institut d’Electronique Fondamentale (IEF). In 2018, the laboratory moved to a new building at the heart of Campus Paris-Saclay, in the south of Paris. The C2N hosts massive Technological Facility with a clean room of 2 900 sqm, dedicated to micro and nanofabrication processes, to the growth, the epitaxy and the characterization of materials. Four research departments in photonics, materials, nanoelectronics and microsystem are laying the ground work in academic and applied science.
